Meet the Creators
Sherry Lee Linkon is the Co-Director of the Center for Working-Class Studies and a Professor of English and American Studies at Youngstown State University. She has been a national leader in developing the field of new working-class studies and in scholarship of teaching and learning. In 2003, she was named the Ohio Professor of the Year.

Alyssa Lenhoff is the Director of the Journalism Program and an Instructor in the English Department at YSU. She is a former investigative reporter and has won some of the top prizes in journalism, including two Scripps Howard national reporting awards.
Megan Douglass is a senior in the Professional Writing and Editing Program at Youngstown State. This website as well as the four web-exclusive portraits are her contributions to "Worker Portraits," which serve as her senior project.
